"i think what i found striking in the show was the fact that the children could find beauty in everything that they see."
and i think that's still something i'm learning to do. it's not easy, but i'm on my way. i've started small, from papers and magazines. and i'm moving on to interior designing (elaboration later) and hopefully, people.
today was a good day. it started off prettily with a spare period in class, where mr yeo came in and conversed with the front row people. suddenly they were hooting with laughter and me, claire, sze were like "what! what!" jong told us and we joined in the laughter.
"mr yeo, who's that weird person standing behind our class today?"
"
I was standing behind your class today!"
the way he said 'I' was hilarious and we all couldn't stop laughing.
it was a good first period even though there wasn't any lessons. PE rolled around and i was considerably excited because we're having the same PE slots as 4G! haha our favourite sister class. PE turned out to be superbly fun, though.
the class split up into two teams; benchball and captain's ball. i naturally went to the benchball side because my love for benchball is extremely noble. not that i have anything against captain's ball. it just triggers a certain switch in my mind and suddenly i can hear sze&natw teasing me about my mispronunciation of it.
so! we played against 4G. i think we played around three games in total.
1) G vs T
2) coloured vs whites
3) 1 - 10 vs 11 - 30
haha i see some explanation is required. hm, (1) is grouped according to class. (2) is grouped according to the shirts we're wearing. some people wear mg pe shirt (the whites) and some wear house shirts (the coloureds). (3) is grouped according to birth dates. those born in the first ten days versus those born in the next twenty days.
(2) was especially exciting because all the sporty people were on that side. the only good one was lianne. but we won! hahah. then me and jacq played badminton for a short while before dodgeball started. after that, ANTM!
HAHAHAHAHA.
freaking hilarious, i swear. xiao hui does a mean imitation of Tyra Banks, she should so be awarded a trophy. "and you? i see the confidence! but in the pictures, it just does, not, show." haha and jiani being eliminated at every round. hahaha, i laughed till i teared!
after PE was geog, followed by math. recess then english then chem.
hahaha, i said to claire,
"claire, i think i will never return to mgs to work as a teacher because if i do, in the timetables i will be TanA (tana)."
hahaha sze and claire laughed quite alot. i didn't even think it was that funny, but judging from their responses, :D! haha. it's like how we call mrs chow, chowdy, thanks to the timetable. i don't want my students to call me tana behind my back!
CHOIS. hahahaha. guess who's that?
and omg, today's study session at coffee bean was SO UNPRODUCTIVE! i was so distracted and full and it was so noisy. i hope tomorrow's subway would be better.
friday: english oral!
"we should all start speaking in proper english now, claire."
"absolutely."
"in addition... hahahahahaha."
but! tomorrow's Speak in Chinese Day because the normal chinese girls in 4T are finally taking their oral! :O
haha. "zhou ba." that's like the only phrase they can say without sounding angmoh.
okays. i think i will either 1) youtube or 2) do math. right now, AFTER DRINKING A HORRIBLE BLEND OF CELERY/GREEN APPLE/BITTERGOURD/GREEN PEPPER/GUAVA, option 1 is really winning me over. i need something to distract me from the freaking awful taste in my mouth. even my burp is gross. durian never expected itself to be dethroned.
seriously. YUCKS!
