today, an impromptu outing was planned.
quickly, i blew-dry my limp and wet hair, threw an outfit together, called jacq to invite her, grab a bag, stuffed my feet into my flats and left the house. haha, way to go, audrey!
sze was already at serene centre before i left the house, so i thought it was only fair that i hailed a cab and zoom to meet her immediately. as i ran down the steps, i saw a cab and lamely stuck out my hand, expecting the cab to drive past me. haha IT STOPPED FOR ME! yay, problem solved. i thought to myself, "today is my lucky day!"
so, i jumped into the cab happily, "serene centre, please!"
and then, the taxi driver turned around. omg, the CHEE KO PEK asked "seaweed centa? seaweed centa?"
"seRENE cenTER."
"where is seaweed centa?"
i could have punched myself, i swear. "WHYYYYYYYYYYY!" my mind was screaming and screaming.
"erm, it's near sixth avenue?"
"seh avenue?"
"AH SHIT. wait let me call my friend." and as i desperately called sze, he was still mumbling to himself. "seh avenue? seaweed centa?"
turns out sze doesn't know where serene centre is.
"near coronation plaza! do you know where coronation plaza is!"
"KORNASEN plaza? orh kornasen plaza!"
"yeah. bukit timah road."
"yar yar, bukit timah road."
HE FINALLY STARTED DRIVING.
and thank goodness he was travelling in the right direction and ended up dropping me off at the right place. "yes, uncle, this is seRENE cenTER." i slammed the door.
yeah, so i went to meet up with sze and we got ourselves one scoop of icecream each.

the way sze eats her icecream cone is like an ancient caveman chewing on a drumstick.
we talked and chatted, "omg is that _____?!" and then received The Call from natalie wong. natw was going to go home, change then meet us at marina square. okey, so me and sze made our way to marina square.
on the bus, some (estimated) sec 2 guys were openly discussing girls.
"woah, you got see the (insert prestigious girls' school here) girls or not? they're like sluts la!"

haha, let me first be clear that it wasn't mg girls because 1) i am defensive about my own school and 2) those guys didn't get stared down by me and sze.
so we reached marina square. natw wasn't there yet, so me and sze walked around. we were at zara when natw came.

i tried on three zara shorts, but they were all so unflattering on me. yucks. and they cost 75 bucks. why would i want to buy something so expensive that looks so gross on me?
natw went to look for clothes in G2000 while me and sze went in search of lunch. IMPERIAL TREASURE.
haha we secretly compared everything to crystal jade. and we returned the napkins to the waitress so we wouldn't be charged extra.

so i had my Nanjing Salted Duck with plain noodles. the plain noodles were quite nice, not so different from crystal jade. but the duck kinda sucked. crystal jade's salted duck is so much nicer! at least it doesn't taste like blood.
we walked around somemore after lunch. i bought hairbands and a bangle at Diva. :)
then we walked to suntec city. in search of mango.
"excuse me, do you know where mango is?"
"yea, it's in the other building. take the elevator up, walk straight in that direction and take the elevator down again."
"oh okay thanks!"

"eh can we stay and eat crepes first?" (SZE)
