how interesting

that my blogpost is not going to be interesting at all. :D

anyways, i went to check my name up on wikipedia, after seeing nicole do that. and there wasn't much. just a whole list of 'famous Audreys'. and then, it made me realise that it's actually quite hypnotic if you scroll down a long list of a repetitive word. here's an example, using my name of course.

yes, i think that's enough for you to have a need to scroll down to see THIS. the repetitive Audrey looks as if it's not moving at all, right?

fine, maybe it's just me but whatever.

today, during Lit class, miss tan asked all of us whether we were happy or not, and she started going around the class. so she didn't get to me because she got distracted with a brilliant point contributed by someone. i thought of my own answer anyway. and since i didn't have the chance to say it out, i shall blog it out! how amazing i (and this blog) am.

~ well, i was happy yesterday, because i finally finished up my CAP pieces. but then i'm not happy now (now, as in Lit class-now.) because i have yet to take a chem test which i am most likely to fail AND a chinese presentation. ~

but then, when i went home that day, i was so happy, again. yes, i mean, i've finished the chem test AND the chinese presentation AND i'm going to bukit panjang plaza to meet my mum and brother. how can i be not happy?

oh yes, i went to alter my fabulous jeans which i so lovvve. they were bought at A FREAKING SALE OF FIFTY PERCENT OFFFFF.

jealous? i know you are. i bought FOUR. well, actually i chose two and my sister chose two. but we can wear each other's clothes. so, peace out doode. the sale's over, fyi. my mom bought this pretty jeans with diamantes, at Mango. oh yeah. the four jeans were bought at Pull and Bear. it's one shop's name. not two shops.

right, so i have been wanting to blog about a certain topic for quite some time now and it always slips my mind. this time i've locked it up with extra shackles and chains, just so it won't naughtily run away from me, leaving me stoned at the computer screen, as if i have early senior dementia.

and the topic is...

A THEORY, actually.

yes, and this theory is how people with a wonderful in-built vocabulary can be better bloggers.

i have a couple of theories on what makes better bloggers, but so far, none applies to me. oh shuttup.

gah, see how i've digressed?

yes, bttp. wonderful in-built vocabulary. especially when they can insult people without actually sounding so uncouth.

i mean, 'insipid'? 'imbeciles'? like, wth? who uses that??? not me! people who makes me annoyed and angry are generally 'stupid idiots'. i guess it can be quite impressive when you use all the nice bombastic big words. but then again, it's not exactly pleasant to read a blog while fervently flipping through the dictionary, is it?

so there goes my 'wonderful in-built vocabulary' theory.

another theory is the 'interesting, funny and random facts' one. a lovely example would be our dear nicole's blog! take her latest post for example. all those who wikipedia-ed their own name (and got a hilarious definition), please raise your hand.

(no, not at the computer, dummy.)

well, i haven't and when i did, i ain't got no funny definition. ah well, some people just get it lucky.

i know of another blogger who posts funny and interesting pictures, although she IS a tad too obsessed with her own face. her grammar's not very good either, but hey, who am i to criticize her? she's still a fab blogger in her own way! she's not someone i know personally. just a blogger whom i happened to blog-skip to.

so you see, after this two theories, i conclude that i can still strive onwards in being a great blogger.

except that it'd be weird if you're a famous blogger. you go shopping and all sort of people only ask ONE question when they think you're vaguely familiar and that's 'do you blog?'. like, WHAT?! you don't even say 'how are you' or 'hello!'. just 'do you blog?'. or 'do you have a blog?' if you prefer, but that doesn't make things better in any way.

i guess it depends on who you are. i wouldn't exactly find it impressive if my occupation is being a blogger, but i can't deny that it's interesting. i mean, how many people get to say that they blog for a living? (how much money do they earn, anyway?)

---

and there you go! thousand apologies for the abrupt ending, but it just felt like the ending's there. and when you gotta end, you gotta end.

anyways.

we should pop a champagne that i've finally typed out what i wanted to type for such a long time already!

oh, i'm not doing scenario-writing anymore. have i told you guys that? i told miss tan, and I'M relieved that SHE'S relieved. i'd be much more relaxed after CAP, even though i think i'll miss all my inspirations and writing. i've decided to start on a fanfiction project anyway. so i won't exacly bid goodbye to writing. but writing in CHINESE? it's still a little hard, right? i mean, considering that little amount of self-discipline i have, any inspirations for chinese writings would be left to rot in my mind.

that doesn't rock.

i shall TRY to jot down all my chinese inspirations. who knows? maybe one day i can publish my own book-- one which is both english and chinese. cool, no?

...

(okay okay! stop shouting at the computer already!)

it suddenly hit me that the reason why i love blogging so much, is because i'm actually writing. it doesn't have to be writing an essay or a story. the fact that there's actually an audience reading what i type pleases me. and to a certain extent, encourages me to blog more. which is why i say, tagging is very important! i shan't nag at you, for fear that you close this window. but my dears, please tag if you're able to, can do?

(mwahaha. ms cheong likes saying 'can do?'. i've noticed that. did you?)

being a writer is not a job which can maintain a lifestyle should it be one's only job. paul tan said that. his day job is being a journalist. writing poems is only his hobby. imagine that! publishing your own hobby! gaw. he doesn't even earn money for that. it's stated in the book: all royalties and profits of this book goes to The Straits Times Pocketmoney fund (or summat). what a lovely man.

he also mentioned that a singaporean writer, especially, would find it tough to be famous in writing. i guess that's quite true. i mean, I for one don't even read books written by singaporean writers, let alone wanting others to read a book that i'll publish. no matter how eye-catching the book is, one'd probably place the book back down once they see who the author is.

Audrey Tan? who's she? i don't know her.

whereas, it's a whole different thing in US or America or Australia or England or Britain or any English country. let's just take Stephenie Meyer for an example. (she's the author of Twilight fyi.) Twilight's her first ever written novel and it's become such a huge hit! she didn't even think about publishing it! the story came to her in the form of a dream. she dreamt about a short scene, but ended up writing one whole complete story, because she felt compelled to type the scene out. one scene became ten scenes and soon, TADA, a book is finished! it's crazy, i tell you.

she now has a sequel to Twilight, New Moon and her third book would be released this year. it's called Eclipse. she's writing her fourth book already and maybe starting on the fifth. like us, she's pretty reluctant in ending the lovestory between Bella and Edward. it's all so real, you won't believe it. by the time you finish reading the book, you'll be so in love with Edward that you'd wish you were Bella. honest. ask anyone who read Twilight before. I know that i couldn't stop thinking of Edward one week after i finished reading that marvelous book, so much so that i went ahead to buy my own Twilight. and New Moon. and soon, Eclipse.

you see, Stephenie Meyer is the creator of this wonderful couple. and how? by DREAMING. gah. it's this kind of people that make us wonder why on Earth are we existing. for taking up space? pfft.

ehmyGERANIUM. look at how long i've droned on about Stephenie Meyer and her fantastic creations. i really love her, yes i do.

i shall end off this loooooooooong post with one significant word that we all can't survive without:
