i bought the Teenage magazine lately and in the book review, i saw a book which i bought for the school library.

here! i found a picture of its front cover.
and now, i shall type out the description of the book (the one in Teenage.) word for word.

A totally fun, colourful and engaging journal, this fictional diary of Cathy is filled with doodles, letters, juicy secrets and incredibly detailed (and often times, hilarious) descriptions of Cathy's everyday life. Drawings in pencil eyeliner, lipgloss and mascara fill the pages, as if the journal belonged to a real teenage girl. If you don't already keep a written diary, this one's bound to get you started!

well, hope that sounds like fun to you all!

oh and there was also an interview of this girl and apparently, she's a cool blogger because there was a little box at the side, which says 'Genie's Ten Blogging Tips'. I'm going to type all ten out and then give some of my own opinions.

1. Don't just list the things you did today. Who cares! (Okay, so i do this alot. but still, a blog is for me to read back and know what i did on a particular day. it's more for me to keep memories, than for you to read. so, i don't really agree with this tip.)
2. Make sure you recognise who your target audience is, so you know what they want to read. (again, it's more for me to keep memories than for you to read. but still, i don't really have a target audience, i just try to keep my blog audreyish and entertaining. i TRY.)
3. Be interesting when you blog. Using the right lingo will help to you connect better with your readers. (okay, there's a grammar error here, but i trust you all know what is it, so i shan't point it out. hmm, i'm not sure if i use lingo, but i do try to be interesting. it's not my fault that i'm born boring.)
4. If you have something exciting, share it! When i receive gifts from my fans, i'll post it on my bog. Then everyone feels like they are part of my life. (i'm sorry that i don't have fans, much less to receive gifts from them. but other than that, i think i do share exciting stuff (at least, it's exciting to me.) with you guys.
5. Having a tagboard is great, because people can post comments freely. (but the 'people' don't.)
6. Stay personable. Blogging is like talking, just in written form. (yes, i think i blog like i talk.)
7. Don't ever slander someone or talk bad about others. It's very important to have good blog ethnics!(i also think that i haven't talked bad about anybody on this blog. myself, not included.)
8. Swearing is not very nice, don't do it. (fine, i shall stop swearing, even though i don't swear alot.)
9. Blog about healthy things! (hey, it's not my fault that i'm ill now.)
10. Remember that a blogsite is an influential vehicle. If you're positive, your readers will be inspired and feel more optimistic too. (oh dear! i hope i haven't caused you all to think of yourselves as ugly. wait a minute. who am i kidding? i am anything but influential.)
