Audrey's life has been okay recently, but today, she did a good deed that she'd rather she didn't do.
No, don't get Audrey the wrong way. She is glad that she did a good deed, except that-- okay. Hear the story and then you'll understand.
She was waiting patiently for her bus, which is 171, to come when she noticed an Indian old lady go up to another woman, asking for the time. This Indian old lady is not exactly very old. Maybe a little over 50? Yes. Audrey's never good at estimating age.
Being that overly-sensitive girl she was, Audrey starts to think too much. She started imagining about how long the old lady had been sitting there, waiting for the bus and she was actually in a hurry to meet her family. So Audrey had an urge to go up to that old lady to tell her the time. But Audrey was also, unfortunately, shy. And thus, she sat there, doing nothing.
The old lady then sat down beside Audrey, and it was a while before the old lady started talking to Audrey too. From this small chat, Audrey found out that this lady was half blind and half deaf. And that the lady had lost her wallet and handphone. Audrey took one look at her face and believed her immediately. She dug out her wallet and gave the lady all the coins she had.
GAH.
i shall stop posting Christopher Boone-ish.
wells, yeahh. it was all so sad la. and when her bus finally came, she thanked me with this big smile and i waved byebye to her. not sure whether she saw it or not, but i was happy for her that she could finally go home.
but that STUPID BUS DRIVER DROVE OFF WITHOUT SEEING HER.
omg i really felt like crying for her. one thing i hate to see is people missing their buses. i know how i feels like. you have to wait, like, for another 20minutes or so JUST BECAUSE THAT STUPID BUS DRIVER DIDNT OPEN HIS IDIOTIC EYES BIG ENOUGH.
and then the old lady came back and sat beside me. she was talking and talking to me, i was trying to swallow the lump the whole time because she was just so pitiful.
and when finally the bus came, i was quite reluctant to leave her, but i had to. so i told her gently that my bus had arrived and that i had to go. mann, i so wanted to hug her and tell her that everything will be alright.
i gave her as much coins as i had but it wasnt enough. you know she has to change FOUR buses to get back home?
):
and that's why i said that was one good deed i rather i didnt do. it was just so sad.
i told my sister about it once i got home and she told me it may have been a fraud. but i dont care. even if it is, it's just a few cents. and anyway, i dont think she's a fraud. if you were there, you'd believe me too.
sigh.
life's cruel. and i don't want it that way.
audrey's sad. so she cant blog about happy stuff currently. come back tml. she'll blog happily
then.now, she just wants to sit down and hope that she doesnt meet cases like these anymore. not ever.
